Description
The Lakeland Terrier is a solid, sturdy build, squarely proportioned dog similar to the Welsh Terrier, but a bit smaller. This is an elegant breed with a beautiful, elongated head and straight, strongly boned legs. The thick, hard, adult coat is resistant to bad weather and comes in many combinations of black, black & tan, reddish, red grizzle, wheat, liver & blue, grizzle, and grizzle & tan. The tan color is like straw, not rich and dark.
Lakeland Terriers generally like everyone they meet and can distinguish friends from strangers. This breed is an enthusiastic breed who enjoys playing with adults or children and has a way of getting its own way making them an entertaining pet.
